After successfully opening the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival, Yard Act release their new single ‘Dream Job’. Hailing from Leeds, West Yorkshire, the indie-rock four piece previously topped the UK charts with their debut album ‘The Overload’ reaching
number 2. ‘Dream Job’ is the first single to be released from their upcoming album ‘Where’s My Utopia?’, releasing on March 1st 2024.

Opening with upbeat percussion, the single instantly hooks listeners before James Smith’s familiar speak-sing style vocals open the first verse. The catchy bass riff flawlessly compliments the vocals and is later joined by guitar. The chorus is sure to create a great atmosphere when played live thanks to the memorable sarcastic lyrics coupled with the upbeat two phrase melody. Sam Shipstone’s guitar solo after the second chorus breaks the single up before we are greeted with harmonies singing between James Smith and backing vocalists, ending abruptly leaving listeners craving for more.

The infectious melody will make ‘Dream Job’ a fan favourite. Their upcoming UK tour begins in March 2024 celebrating the release of ‘Where’s My Utopia?’ before their largest home town headline show in Millennium Square, Leeds on August 3rd 2024.
